James "Jamie to Blame" Mark is a co-founder of Bonobos. James is a Denver native who has been playing with the band since the early days. He describes his bass guitar style as "flat and thumpy, with a touch of light and funky". As a talented writer of social conscience pop songs and poems, James made his songwriting debut in college with the boy trio A-III. He later played with the alternative band, The Fringe.
This is Jamie to Blame's second album, released in May 2021. His first album, eponymously titled "Jamie to Blame", was released in 2019.
